Turbogenerator Sets for Gambsheim Hydropower Plant

Supply and installation of 4 turbogenerator sets with their auxiliaries for a new hydropower plant in Gambsheim on the Rhine. Each set includes: a double-regulated Kaplan turbine with horizontal axis (max gross head 11 mCE, theoretical net head between 6 and 11 mCE, nominal flow 80 m³/s, indicative nominal power 7.8 MW, theoretical rotation speed between 120 and 158 rpm); a multiplier if necessary; a synchronous alternator (apparent power approx. 8 MVA, 5.5 to 11 kV at 50 Hz, with specific technical requirements such as prohibition of global stator impregnation with winding and controllability of magnetic circuit tie rods during operation); an oleo-hydraulic unit (HPU); lubrication and cooling circuits. Services include: general studies; execution and material dimensioning studies; civil engineering integration studies for each set and provision of guide plans; on-site assembly (including pre-sealed parts) and commissioning of the supplied equipment at the Gambsheim site; training of EDF personnel. Excluded are earthworks and civil construction for the new plant, hydromechanical equipment (trash racks, downstream valves, stop logs), and electrical and control work for the new sets, except for the installation of sensors.
