Transitional and supplementary management for the Natura 2000 area Engbertsdijksvenen: Measures for the conservation and restoration of peat bog in an area of approx. 600 ha, primarily in recovering peat bog natural areas [H7120] and surrounding heathlands, with a duration of three years. The work includes manual and mechanical removal of woody growth (approx. 420 ha manually, approx. 205 ha mechanically), manual removal of black cherry suckers (approx. 145 ha), mechanical mowing of verges and quays (approx. 29 ha), crushing of bracken, and manual and mechanical removal of the invasive species giant hogweed, Japanese knotweed, Canada goldenrod, and highbush blueberry. The contract has a ceiling amount of 578,500 Euro.
