Relocation of holdings from the City Archive and City Historical Library Bonn: The service comprises a concept and planning phase, followed by the physical relocation phase. The concept must include capacity planning, timing of holdings, logistics for sensitive photo materials and fragile documents, and the systematic storage in new mobile shelving systems. The relocation is from a central location (approx. 17.5 shelf kilometers) and an external storage facility (approx. 4 shelf kilometers) in Bonn-Zentrum to a new location in Bonn-Zentrum. Freight elevators and loading zones are available at all locations. Roll containers must not exceed a maximum width of 75 cm, must be loadable from the narrow sides, offer approx. 6 shelf meters capacity per container, have height-adjustable shelves (minimum 35 cm shelf height), and a tarpaulin closure or similar security system. Trucks must not exceed a height of 3.50 meters. The total holdings amount to approximately 21.5 shelf kilometers, comprising about 17 shelf kilometers of archive holdings (approx. 80% in archive boxes, <20% unpacked files) and about 4.5 shelf kilometers of library holdings (approx. 10% in archive boxes). At the old location, approx. 60% are stored in mobile shelving systems and approx. 40% in fixed shelving; at the new location, storage will be almost entirely in mobile shelving systems. Special formats include approximately 100 linear meters of archive boxes/folders, approximately 200 slipcases, approximately 150 plan rolls, and approximately 250 linear meters of large-format archival material in map cabinets (map cabinets remain at the old location). Sensitive holdings of approximately 1.6 shelf kilometers of photo materials and historical image carriers, as well as approximately 100 meters of fragile, paper-bound documents, require enhanced protective measures. The contractor provides all necessary packaging and transport materials, as well as tools, machines, and aids at their own expense. Road transport must be carried out in closed, theft-proof vehicles; personnel must be bound to data secrecy.
