Support for Socio-Economic Empowerment of Women in Burkina Faso

Services for the "Strengthening the socio-economic participation of women in Burkina Faso" (ProFemmes) project: Implementation of key service packages in the Djôrô region and Fada N'Gourma. This includes, under Output 1 (entrepreneurial empowerment), analysis of agricultural and forest value chains, identification of market opportunities for women-led cooperatives and individual entrepreneurs, diagnostics of target enterprises, segmentation of beneficiaries, and design and implementation of integrated support packages (training, coaching, mentoring, technical assistance) to strengthen operational performance, market presence, competitiveness, and digital skills, in coordination with MEBF. Under Output 3 (financial co-decision making at household level), the development and implementation of measures for basic financial literacy among couples (budgeting, saving, responsible borrowing), introduction of simple household financial tools (potentially digital), facilitation of gender-transformative dialogue and reflection formats (GALS, GTA-Loop, Ecole de Maris) to promote joint financial decision-making and reduce conflict risks, and achievement of quantitative targets for men open to shared budgeting and households reporting improved financial competences are required, primarily in households already supported under Outputs 1 and 2. The contractor must maintain continuous technical coordination with GIZ and related projects (PEA, ProSPS), align all measures with the project's indicator framework, strengthen ownership of local partners, conduct annual operational planning, regular reporting, contribute to results monitoring, risk management, and adaptive management of activities; further items as per the tender documents.
