Relocation of Turku Harbor Railway: Earthworks, Foundation, Structural Engineering, and Electrical Works

Relocation of Turku Harbor Railway: The contract is a lump-sum total contract (KU) that includes unit price items and options. The works are located in the city area of Turku, bordering the Turku freight station in Iso-Heikkilä to the north. The construction area crosses the Kuninkoja and continues under the Pahaniemi bridges to the Turku harbor area. The main work phases include: Earthworks (earth cuttings, excavations, construction of sub-bases and base structures for railway and service roads, construction of pole foundations with base slabs and piling, construction of all drainage systems, construction of open ditches, construction of a flood plain with landscaping (option), construction of foundations for level crossing and lighting, collision protection for Pahaniemi bridges, all fillings of the area as indicated in the plans, construction of all railway underpasses, dismantling of a temporary sheet pile wall); Structural Engineering (construction of Kuninkoja bridge, construction of Kuninkoja pile slabs, construction of platform area pile slab, construction of platform canopy with electrical and other systems (option), construction of platform area structures with electrical and other systems, construction of contact protections for Pahaniemi bridges); High Current and Other Electrical Works for the Platform Area (lighting works for platform area, lighting works for platform canopy (option), trace heating for platform canopy (option), de-icing heating for platform area, cable routes for platform canopy (option), cable routes for platform area, procurement and installation of main distribution board, connection of feeder cable, earthing for platform canopy (option), earthing works for platform area and equipment, earthing works for Kuninkoja bridge, dynamic signage, announcements, sound shelters, camera surveillance, and induction loop for platform area, static signage for platform area, commissioning inspections and measurements, and verification inspection); Works Related to Safety Devices (construction of cable pits and underpasses, installation of cabinet foundations, installation of signal foundations, installation of foundations for level crossing system cabinets). All works are to be completed according to plans with the necessary materials.
