Weigh-in-Motion System for Elevated Road B (A1)

Concept and implementation of a Weigh-in-Motion system for continuous recording of axle loads on structure BW 4907 593 (Elevated Road B, A1): Installation of a weighing system in 6 lanes (2x3 lanes in both directions) to document time-dependent structural behavior during tension steel inspections. Monitoring is fixed for 2 years, with two extension options of 1 year each. The client can terminate an extension with three months' notice. Measuring sensors are to be milled into the roadway according to technical guidelines, including planning and execution of all safety and closure measures, ensuring at least one lane per direction remains open, and milling work preferably takes place during night shifts. Hardware for data recording must be installed vandalism-proof within the box girder or in a container below the structure. A data portal for continuous access to interpretable raw data must be established. Processed data is to be delivered quarterly as PDF and XLSX. An emergency power system for at least 24 hours of recording during power outages must be provided. Access to the box girders is via access openings, partly reachable by aerial work platforms or stair towers; approximately 4 stair towers will be set up as primary access units. All work with aerial work platforms must be carried out by trained personnel in compliance with occupational safety regulations (ASR A2.1, DGUV Grundsatz 308-008, BetrSichV), further items as per the tender documents.
