Construction Works for Imatra Fire Station (Main Contract)

Construction works for Imatra Fire Station: Construction of a fire and rescue station for the South Karelia Wellbeing Services County in the Korvenkanta district of Imatra. Additionally, facilities for the Southeast Finland Police Department, storage and garage buildings, and a mobile, container-type backup power generator will be built on the property. The facility will also be used by the South Karelia Wellbeing Services County's emergency medical services and the Tainionkoski Volunteer Fire Department. The location is Piikatu 4, 55120 Imatra, in an important groundwater area for which a deviation permit has been approved. The contract type is a divided contract, covering all planned construction, HVAC, electrical, and earthworks. The construction contractor acts as the main contractor and the primary implementer as defined by law, and appoints a responsible site manager. Subcontracts for plumbing/cooling, ventilation, electrical, and building automation are subordinated to the main contractor, but the subcontracts are concluded in the client's name. A total budget of 8,200,000 euros has been allocated for the entire project, including the main contract, all subordinated subcontracts, and client procurements. Extensive TLIV-security classified material must be handled on site, so the main contractor must ensure the provision of facilities on the construction site where the handling of security-classified material is possible. All contractors' own office premises must also meet the same requirements. The plans for the police facilities are security-classified. A review of the completed plans for the police facilities is possible on 07.07.2026 from 8:00 to 16:00 at the Lappeenranta administrative building, Villimiehenkatu 2b, requiring a non-disclosure agreement to be signed.
