Geotechnical investigations for Viinikankatu underground connection and P-Hämppi extension

Geotechnical investigations for the Viinikankatu underground connection and P-Hämppi extension: rock core drilling, machine drilling, in-situ rock stress testing, sampling, laboratory testing of samples, and reporting of investigation results. Investigations and final reports must be completed by 31.12.2026, or as soon as possible if access to all investigation points is not possible during 2026. The contractor is responsible for the safety planning of the investigations, including the planning and implementation of temporary traffic arrangements, and for obtaining necessary official permits. Some investigation points are located in the railway area, requiring a permit from the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency (Väylävirasto) according to Railway Act § 36. The contractor must obtain these permits, ensure personnel have a valid railway safety qualification (Turva), and comply with current Väylävirasto guidelines (e.g., Radanpidon turvallisuusohjeet (TURO), Sähkörataohjeet). Works must not disturb train traffic or the Tampere passenger rail yard project and must be carried out at suitable times. Old core samples cannot be utilized. An option for additional and modification works is included, as per Section 41, Subsection 2 of the Procurement Act, with a decision on its use within three years of contract signing. The option's value is half of the planned geotechnical investigation services (reference price). The selected contractor will prepare a regional work schedule, which will become part of the contract; further items as per the tender documents.
