Operation of the Gigabit Network for Breitband Ostalb KAöR in OAK East Area

Network operation and lease agreement for a passive Gigabit network (FTTB) in the Ostalbkreis, divided into lots: The network includes feeder infrastructures and local distribution networks for underserved households and businesses, which will be successively transferred as ready-for-operation subnetworks to a private network operator for use and establishment of the active network layer. Network extensions are also part of the scope. For Lot 1 (Cluster East GFP 2.0), 2,896 building connection points with 4,136 usage units are included in the funding process, with a maximum quantity of 3,186 building connection points with 4,426 usage units, and a guaranteed minimum quantity of 2,230 building connection points according to the framework agreement. The project is funded according to Gigabit Guideline 2.0 (March 31, 2023) and VwV Gigabit Co-financing (July 27, 2023).
