Operation of a Gigabit Network for BLS Broadband in Engstingen, Gomadingen, and other municipalities

Operation of a passive Gigabit network (FTTB): Construction in the municipal areas of Engstingen, Gomadingen, and other municipalities between 2026 and 2029, based on existing backbone infrastructure, comprising feeder infrastructures into the supply area and local distribution networks in the respective expansion areas. The network will be successively leased to a private network operator as operational partial networks for use, establishment of the active network layer, and provision of high-bitrate broadband connections against payment. Network extensions through densification in urban areas or development of building areas are also part of the contract. The lease and network operation contract covers multiple lots with varying quantities of building connection points (GAP) and user units (NE) for subsidized and maximum expansion, as well as guaranteed minimum quantities. The project is funded according to the guideline for the promotion of Gigabit expansion of telecommunication networks in Germany from 26.04.2021 and the administrative regulation of the Ministry of Interior for co-financing from 10.09.2021. further items as per the tender documents.
