Moisture reduction and flooring works for the listed St. Nicholas Cathedral in Stendal: Continuation of moisture reduction on the nave's exterior walls and in the floor area of the nave and parts of the south transept. This includes earthworks under archaeological supervision, demolition and excavation works inside the building with safeguarding of historical clinker bricks, vertical sealing with bentonite, and horizontal sealing by installing a foamed glass gravel layer in the floor structure. Accompanying electrical installation works are planned. The new floor is to be constructed with red clinker bricks (partially in patterns) and sandstone areas. A profiled parapet made of clinker brick masonry, as well as steel railings, cover grates, and gratings, are also to be manufactured. Works must be low-dust, use electrically powered vehicles (door access approx. 1.45 m width), protect existing paving, and be coordinated with restorers, electricians, and scaffolders. The construction measure is divided into three sections, under constant professional supervision by a restoration construction management and monument protection authorities. Rough quantities include approx. 1,100 m² foil protection, approx. 3,000 m² cleaning works (floor and walls), approx. 200 m² floor covering protection with plastic or steel plates, dismantling and reassembly of approx. 42 pcs. church pews, excavation of approx. 290 m³ various soils (machine/manual, archaeology), renovation/renewal of approx. 1.0 m³ rubble stone and brick masonry, approx. 150 m² vertical sealing with calcium bentonite (incl. cleaning, plastering, and preparatory works), demolition of approx. 1,150 m² clinker brick paving (incl. sorting), excavation of approx. 575 m³ soil inside the building (archaeological supervision), excavation and disposal of approx. 65 m³ brick rubble (heating ducts), supply and re-laying of approx. 1,150 m² clinker brick paving (partially patterned) in mortar bed, approx. 950 m² foamed glass gravel (d=15 cm), supply and installation of approx. 1,150 m² gravel frost protection layer, laying of approx. 3,850 m² geotextile fleece 200 / 300 g/m², supply and installation of approx. 2 pcs. profiled sandstone steps (l=approx. 1.45 m), 1 pc. steel-glass protective cover in the floor, 2 pcs. fence grilles with further items as per the tender documents.
