Assessment of the influence of invasive predator species on amphibian populations in Drömling and Eastern Saxony-Anhalt

Assessment of the influence of invasive predator species on amphibian populations in four study areas in Drömling and Eastern Saxony-Anhalt: Systematic examination of suitable water bodies for amphibian inventory and evidence of invasive predators (especially raccoons and minks) in 2027. Water bodies with high potential for FFH Directive Annex II and IV species are to be prioritized. A minimum of three surveys and a total of twelve full field days are planned per map sheet, with at least 25 water bodies per map sheet to be recorded. Mapping takes place between mid-March/early April and mid-May 2027, partly at dusk and at night, with survey dates 14 to 21 days apart. Amphibians are to be documented by species, number, and developmental stage; evidence of invasive predators, predation events, and crane observations are also to be recorded. The conservation status of FFH Directive Annex II and IV species is to be assessed according to BfN and BLAK (2017). Results are to be entered into MultiBaseCS according to LAU specifications and linked with clearly designated spatial geometries of the study water bodies. By October 30, 2027, the MultiBaseCS database, a shapefile of all study water bodies, tabular assessments of conservation statuses, and an organized photo documentation (at least five meaningful photos per water body) are to be submitted on a physical data carrier.
