Renewal of Fichtenberg Traffic Station: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, and 50 Hz Systems

Construction of a home platform at track 1 and a single-sided island platform at track 2 in Fichtenberg: conventional construction, system height 76 cm above rail top, length 220 m. The measure includes the construction of the drainage system, platform lighting, and platform equipment. Track 2 will be relocated by 0.60 m towards track 1, reducing the track spacing to 5.40 m. A shunter path between tracks 1 and 2 will be maintained. The rear edge of the island platform (angle retaining wall with railing) will be 3.00 m from the axis of track 3. A platform with a usable width of 2.68 m plus a 0.25 m wide platform rear edge will be arranged between track 2 and track 3. The island platform is accessible via a staircase from the pedestrian underpass (PU) and a barrier-free, inclined walkway at the platform end. The existing PU will be retained. The staircase access to the home platform will be rebuilt, the staircase access to the existing island platform west of the PU will be dismantled, and a new staircase access to the island platform east of the PU will be constructed. Drainage for the home platform will be via a railway ditch into the river Rot, and for the platform at track 2 into the municipal sewage system. Platform lighting and equipment, as well as the track field lighting system, will be renewed or adapted.
