Specialized Technical Equipment Planning (System Group 7) for the New Surgical Center at Münster University Hospital

Specialized technical equipment planning (system groups 7 medical and laboratory technical systems) for the new construction of the Surgical Center (OPZ) at Münster University Hospital, including associated open and traffic areas. The commissioning is staged: initially service phases 1 and 2 of the HOAI, with an option for service phases 3 onwards. The OPZ is an extension building of the Central Hospital with approx. 80,000 m² gross floor area (35,778 m² usable area), 354 beds, 10 monitoring places, 32 operating rooms, and 164 intensive care beds. It includes the functional areas diagnostics and therapy, nursing, general services, hospital management, supply and disposal, research and teaching, and emergency services. Also planned are a roof-mounted helicopter landing pad, a minimum of 100 (desired 300) car parking spaces, and 1,000 bicycle parking spaces. The cost ceiling is 485 million EUR gross (cost groups 300/400, without initial furnishing and underground garage), including approx. 11% risk provision. The HU-Bau submission is planned 12 months after planning start, with targeted commissioning by the end of 2033.
