Geothermal Well Kruszwica GT-1 for Thermal Water Resource Exploration
Geothermal well Kruszwica GT-1: Exploration and development of thermal water resources in Lower Jurassic and optionally Lower Cretaceous formations in the Kruszwica region. The scope includes drilling a vertical exploration well Kruszwica GT-1 to a projected depth of 3,290 m (±10 %), with the Lower Jurassic top expected at approximately 2,750 m. Geological supervision will continuously adjust drilling depth, well construction, casing, and testing. Works involve preparing an operational plan and all necessary documents, obtaining permits (especially from the District Mining Office), and preparatory works such as site security, drilling site setup, and utility supply (power, water, wastewater disposal, temporary wastewater tank). Also included are the installation of the well structure with casing columns (24", 18 5/8”, 13 3/8”, 9 5/8”) and a filter column (6 5/8”), wellhead completion, geophysical logging after each section (diameter, curvature, litho-stratigraphic profile, layer dip, permeable intervals, casing cementation status, Production Log test, temperature distribution), sampling of rock, water, and gas. Also included are the supply and installation of a submersible pump, cleaning pumping, and hydrogeological investigations (hydrodynamic tests with three yield stages). In case of a positive drilling result, a production wellhead will be supplied and installed; in case of a negative result, the well will be liquidated and the site restored. Finally, a geodetic survey report and as-built documentation must be prepared, covering all drilling and service reports, projects, and protocols, to enable the creation of hydrogeological documentation for the thermal water resources. Geological works also include geodetic demarcation, construction site preparation with environmental protection and fencing, provision of an equipped control and measurement laboratory (AKP) with personnel, a social and office container (min. 15 m²) for 24/7 operation, utility supply for all facilities, transport and assembly of the drilling rig, and its commissioning. Drilling and testing of the well, including the installation and cementing of casing columns (24”, 18 5/8”, 13 3/8”, 9 5/8”) and the filter column (6 5/8”), will be carried out in 5 sections to ensure long-term, trouble-free operation under high mineralization, temperature, and pressure conditions.
