The reconstruction measure at Gaildorf West station includes the renewal and extension of the central platform track 2/3 to a length of 220 m with a target height of 76 cm. Essential components are the complete demolition of the existing elevator shafts, the new construction of two new elevator underpasses, and the adaptation of the access stairs. In addition, extensive earthworks, cable civil engineering, drainage works, superstructure works for the adaptation of track 3, and the complete renewal of the lighting system and platform equipment will be carried out. The project is dominated by the trades of specialist civil engineering, concrete construction, and track/platform construction.
