Heating Installation for PES School

Heating installation: Conversion of an existing district heating connection from MVV-Netze GmbH to indirect operation using two district heating transfer stations in the basement heating center. The stations are designed for 130/50°C on the primary side and 75/40°C on the secondary side. One transfer station supplies multiple building heating circuits and sub-distributions for the school (static heating, ceiling radiant panels, HVAC systems, domestic hot water for shower/changing areas). Domestic hot water for a ground floor kitchen is provided via a fresh water station with a pre-connected heating buffer storage, supplied by a separate district heating transfer station. Radiators and HVAC system heating registers are designed for 60/40°C, ceiling radiant panels for 70/50°C. The heat distribution network will be installed using a stainless steel press-fitting system in the basement and ground floor. All main, distribution, and connection lines will be thermally insulated with aluminum-clad mineral wool according to the German Buildings Energy Act (GEG), including insulation caps for all fittings. All areas from the basement to the attic will be equipped with tubular radiators; existing cast iron or steel radiators will be replaced with new steel tubular radiators, maintaining their positions below windows. Gymnasiums in the attic/roof space and the canteen on the ground floor will receive ceiling radiant panels. All static heating surfaces are equipped with lockable and adjustable return fittings. For individual room temperature control, a zone valve with actuator is planned for each room. Hydraulic balancing is performed via the return fittings. Pipe fire barriers are planned for penetrations through fire walls or ceilings of F-quality.
