Ventilation Systems for School PES
Ventilation systems for classrooms, WCs, gyms, kitchen, and canteen: Four central ventilation systems for classrooms, differentiation rooms, administration, material, janitor, and WC rooms, as well as gyms and changing rooms with sanitary facilities, including heat recovery (cross-flow heat exchanger), air volumes from 9,100 m³/h to 10,500 m³/h, without manufacturer's control. Installation takes place in attic technical centers, with split delivery and on-site assembly by a manufacturer's supervisor. The systems are equipped with cooling registers for refrigerant operation. Outdoor units of the RLT systems “Nord-West” and “Nord-Ost” are located in the 2nd basement, “Süd-West” and “Süd-Ost” in exterior light wells. Mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation occurs during school hours. Air distribution in classrooms is via diffusion grilles, in WCs via disc valves. Gyms feature a fourfold volume flow for sports lessons and night cooling, with supply air via diffusion grilles with temperature-dependent jet control, and exhaust air via gable wall grilles. Supply air temperature is 2 K above room temperature. Night cooling for gyms in the attic/roof space is planned with a 3.74-fold air change (8,565 m³/h). The RLT systems are controlled volume flow-dependently. Each room receives a motorized volume flow controller with a silencer in the supply and exhaust air, connected via Modbus to the BMS (Building Management System). Volume flows are designed according to the number of persons (classrooms, differentiation rooms), sanitary objects (WC rooms), and air change rate (administration, material, janitor rooms). Classrooms and differentiation rooms are additionally CO²-dependent. The air duct network consists of rectangular ducts and spiral-seam pipes made of galvanized steel. Outdoor air intake is via weather protection grilles in the pitched roof, exhaust air via louvered hoods over the roof. Outdoor and exhaust air ducts are insulated with synthetic rubber, supply and exhaust air ducts with aluminum-laminated mineral fiber boards/mats. Insulated ducts in ventilation centers up to 2.0 m above finished floor level and in the 2nd basement receive sheet metal casing. Motorized fire dampers with end position switches are provided for fire wall/ceiling penetrations in F-quality and connected via Modbus to the BMS. Assembly is according to general building approvals. Additionally, one central RLT system is planned for the kitchen and canteen on the ground floor, with heat recovery (cross-flow heat exchanger), air volume 13,720 m³/h, suitable for greasy exhaust air, without manufacturer's control. Installation takes place in the basement technical center, with split delivery and on-site assembly by a manufacturer's supervisor. The system is equipped with a cooling register for refrigerant operation. The outdoor unit is located in the 2nd basement. Mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation occurs during operating and school hours. In the kitchen, supply air is via displacement diffusers at the ceiling, exhaust air via hoods over equipment groups. In the canteen, a doubling of the volume flow is planned during event operation. Canteen 1 receives supply air via displacement diffusers in partition walls, exhaust air via grilles in the gallery area. Canteen 2 and 3 receive supply air via ceiling diffusers, exhaust air via grilles. Supply air temperature is 2 K above room temperature. The RLT system is controlled volume flow-dependently. Kitchen and canteen receive motorized volume flow controllers with downstream silencers in the supply air, further items as per the tender documents.
