Ordnance clearance at Ohrdruf military training area

Ordnance clearance at Ohrdruf military training area: Continuation of measures for the removal of ordnance hazards in two phases. Phase XXVII-1 (weeks 01-50 2027) includes clearing vegetation and bush groups on approx. 6.0 ha and ordnance clearance without depth limitation on a total of approx. 9.6 ha (clearance area D3 B/T approx. 3.6 ha, clearance area F5 C/T approx. 6.0 ha). Vegetation clearance will take place in weeks 01-08 and 44-50 2027, ordnance clearance in weeks 14-45 2027. Non-firing maintenance periods are scheduled for weeks 12-13, 28-33, and 41-42 2027. Phase XXVIII-1 (weeks 01-51 2028) involves clearing vegetation and bush groups on approx. 6.25 ha and ordnance clearance without depth limitation on a total of approx. 9.85 ha (clearance area D3 C/T approx. 3.6 ha, clearance area F5 D/T approx. 6.25 ha). Vegetation clearance will take place in weeks 01-08 and 45-51 2028, ordnance clearance in weeks 09-44 2028. Non-firing maintenance periods are scheduled for weeks 14-15, 30-35, and 43-44 2028. The cleared areas are intended for unrestricted use as a training ground.
