Concession for Construction and Operation of a Shipyard Facility in the Port of Santander

Construction and operation of a shipyard facility: Establishment and operation of the facility according to the basic project submitted by the successful bidder. Services include lifting, moving, launching, and maneuvering vessels using travelifts, mobile cranes, or equivalent mechanical means; utilization of ramps, dry docks, technical areas for dry docking and dry storage of vessels; loading, unloading, handling, and positioning operations of vessels in the technical areas of the shipyard; provision of areas for hull maintenance, general maintenance, and dry winter storage, including necessary auxiliary means for technical work on the hull, structure, and systems of vessels; industrial services related to the maintenance, repair, conditioning, and construction of vessels, including naval mechanics, electricity and electronics, painting, boat building, surface treatment, propulsion systems, plumbing, and bunkering services for vessels using the concession services; utilization of support zones for outfitting, provisioning, or technical tests; use of auxiliary machinery such as jib cranes, lifting platforms, towing equipment, or internal transport means; provision of suitable facilities and spaces for the port service of receiving waste and residues generated by vessels using the facility. Other auxiliary or complementary activities proposed by the bidder are permissible, provided they are compatible with the public port domain regime and have been previously authorized by the Port Authority of Santander. The contractor must ensure the operational continuity of the shipyard service from the expiration of the current concession, incorporating a transition plan that allows for the coexistence of construction and operation phases.
