Positioning System for Experimental Micromagnetization Processes

Positioning system for experimental micromagnetization processes: micrometer-precise positioning of magnetic write heads for the magnetization of permanent magnetic thin-film layers. The system comprises an XYR-stage for lateral translation and substrate rotation, and a Z-axis for vertical translation. The Z-axis is mounted on a specified traverse, enables sub-micrometer vertical approach, and defined contact establishment of the write head with the substrate. Both subsystems must be coordinated for specified positioning precision and trajectory movements. The traverse requires provisions for two additional, identical write heads for potential retrofitting. The mechanical mounts must be designed to allow each write head to reach any position on a 150 mm wafer; further specifications as per the tender documents.
