Technical Equipment Planning (Building Automation) for Renovation of two Clinic Buildings, MPI Jena
Technical Equipment Planning (Building Automation) for the general renovation and conversion of two listed clinic buildings (former Urology, built 1914 with extension 1991, and former ENT, built 1928) into an institute building for the Max Planck Institute for Geoanthropology in Jena. The buildings are each 4-story with a partially lit basement and an undeveloped gable floor. The institute building includes office and ancillary office spaces, seminar rooms, a laboratory area with storage, server rooms, and a Decision Theatre. The laboratory area is designed as a shared laboratory pool; the highly installed experimental area is located in the Urology extension, while office and communication spaces are in the listed part of the Urology building and the ENT building. Services include plant group 8 according to § 55 HOAI in conjunction with Annex 15 to HOAI 2021 in service phases 2, 3, and 5 to 9, as well as special services as per contract and Annex A. The project is implemented as a BIM project using the Open-BIM method, including BIM-related services, coordination services, and the creation, updating, and provision of specialist models.
