Multi-sensoric Inspection Trains
Development, manufacturing, and delivery of up to 20 series-ready multi-sensoric inspection trains: The vehicles must be complete, functional, approved, operational, suitable for economic and safe operation according to § 4 AEG, and designed for their service life. The contract also includes maintenance services, delivery of complete vehicle documentation, ensuring spare parts supply, and delivery of special tools. Technical requirements include a vehicle concept with 2x driver's cabs, a work area, a social area (including WC, kitchen, changing room), operating permit according to Ril 931, transport of at least 8 employees, a vehicle speed of 200 km/h in overhead line operation, train control (ETCS, PZB, LZB), and train radio (GSM-R and FRMCS pre-fitting). Operating conditions foresee restricted operation on the Hamburg and Berlin S-Bahn networks as a target option, curve radii of ≤ 140 m (target), clearance profile G1 according to DIN EN 15273, and a temperature range T1 (-25 °C to +40 °C) according to EN 50125. Propulsion is via overhead line, diesel, and battery (target requirement). The area of use is Germany, including German routes in Switzerland (e.g., Basel Badischer Bahnhof), with the vehicle intended for steep gradient operation. Measurement and testing technology requirements include testing for internal and near-surface rail defects (e.g., ultrasound, eddy current), measurement of track geometry and rail profile (e.g., gauge, equivalent conicity, rail cross-section), testing of the superstructure (e.g., defects in fasteners, cracks in sleepers, white spots in ballast), testing of the substructure (e.g., drainage problems), measurement of sound levels (wheel/rail noise), measurement of operational (GSMR) and public mobile radio, measurement and testing of overhead line thickness, overhead line geometry, interaction between pantograph and overhead line, masts and electric arcs, and recording of a point cloud including video recording for clearance profile inspection.
