Design of a Road Underpass at Petőfi Square in Nyíregyháza
Design of a road underpass: Preparation of the design plan for a 2x1 lane road over an approximately 420-430 m section of the 3317. j. Hajdúnánás-Nyíregyháza connecting road (approx. km 56+415) between the Petőfi utca-Széchenyi utca-Vasgyár utca-Petőfi tér and Kinizsi Pál utca-Dugonics utca intersections in Nyíregyháza. This includes the design of a road underpass at the Nyíregyháza Railway Station crossing with a reduced height clearance of minimum 2.5 m, including its run-out areas and sufficiently long straight approach sections at the intersections. Pedestrian and cyclist connections must be provided on at least one side alongside the roadway. The design of the underpass's cross-sectional and height arrangement requires careful elaboration, supported by at least a decision-making study. Road access to all affected properties must be ensured, and existing surface parking along the affected roads/streets is to be standardized and, if possible, retained. The design of the structure considers railway station traffic, future narrow-gauge railway traffic, and expected bus traffic related to IMCS. The design is based on traffic modeling. Additional road and traffic engineering interventions, including traffic light control, on the service road network leading to the underpass section are to be designed. Also included is the design of a guiding directional signage system. The underpass ramp coverings must be designed to prevent rainwater from entering the underpass and its approach ramps, taking into account the proximity of the narrow-gauge railway crossing, the railway station area, and the Széchenyi utca-Vasgyár utca-Petőfi utca intersection, as well as the unified architectural appearance of building facades, platform coverings, and underground garage ramp coverings planned for the IMCS and narrow-gauge railway projects. A connection for entry and exit to an existing parallel 2x1 lane service road near the railway area (partially on property 6705/17) is to be designed, as well as a bus entry and exit possibility towards the so-called Temető átrakó on properties 6705/19 and 6705/20. The planned route and technical content of the narrow-gauge railway and its effects must be considered. The review or redesign of already planned IMCS or narrow-gauge railway interventions (both construction and demolition) is not part of this design task. Close cooperation with the designers of parallel IMCS projects is required. The planning of the construction organization, also with regard to parallel projects, is an important aspect and must be coordinated with the stakeholders. Environmental requirements according to §13 of Government Decree 235/2024 (VIII. 8.) are included in the design task description as part of the technical requirements. further items as per the tender documents.
