Renovation and Conversion of Gau-Bickelheim Community Center

Architectural services for service phases 5 to 8 (optional 9) according to HOAI for the renovation and conversion of the Gau-Bickelheim Community Center. Service phases 1 to 4 have already been completed by eichler & eichler Architekten GmbH. The existing planning must be adopted. The listed building ensemble on a property of 1,292.54 m² comprises a main building (max. 150 persons, two-story with hall extension, apartments, vaulted stable for max. 35 persons, partly basement), an annex building (one-and-a-half-story with post office and youth room, no basement), barn A (storage area for the building yard, partly basement), and barn B (partly converted into a library, rooms for the heating system, partly basement). Goals include general renovation, barrier-free and future-oriented redesign, strengthening the event location, improving technical infrastructure, increasing the quality of stay, adapting to current usage requirements, and considering fire protection. The site will be completely closed during the renovation and conversion. The project will be realized in one construction phase. The estimated total costs (cost groups 300-700) are 2,930,000.00 EUR gross. A funding application was submitted on October 8, 2025; approval is expected by summer 2027. The building permit has been available since April 22, 2026.
