Services for Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment (SESA) of the oil and gas sector in DRC: duration 12 months, deployment of 5 experts in total (2 international experts as head of mission and deputy head of mission with skills in environment, strategic studies, and hydrocarbon sector; 3 national experts with skills in social responsibility, oil and gas sector law, and public policy). Services include human capacity development measures and organizational and strategy advice in the areas of identifying and increasing attention to potential environmental and social risks, strengthening environmental and social management approaches and tools, improving environmental and social accountability, and supporting capacity building for relevant actors to manage environmental and social risks. Deliverables include a SESA for the oil and gas sector, a SWOT analysis and recommendations, socio-environmental management standards, a guide to good environmental and social practices, and draft implementing legislation for DRC.
