Technical Building Equipment planning services for the new construction and renovation of a Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Marienhospital Bottrop: The three-story building includes approximately 50 patient rooms with a total of 79 beds, a pediatric emergency room, pediatric day clinic, interdisciplinary examination and treatment areas (nephrology, neuropediatrics, gastroenterology, urology), pediatric intensive care and IMC services, a maternity ward, a general pediatric ward, and a delivery room. Planning encompasses sanitary and media supply, heating and cooling supply, ventilation technology, power and safety power supply, communication and security technology, conveying technology, and building automation. Specific requirements for supply security, ventilation technology, electrical supply, safety power supply, medical supply systems, and communication and security technology must be considered for medically equipped areas such as the delivery room, pediatric intensive care and IMC areas, pediatric emergency room, intervention and examination rooms, and isolation areas. Central technical systems will be located in the basement and in the technical centers on the top floor. Planning includes the technical connection of the new building to the existing infrastructure of Marienhospital, including adaptations, extensions, and new connections for power and safety power supply, heating and cooling supply, water and wastewater supply, ventilation, medical supply systems, and communication, security, and building automation technology. Planning and implementation will consider ongoing hospital operations and ensure supply security for existing medical areas. Technical systems must be planned considering energy efficiency, sustainability, operational safety, maintainability, and climate adaptation. Coordination with object planning, structural engineering, building physics, fire protection planning, medical technology, and other specialist planning is required.
