Structural Engineering for New Fire Station Triberg im Schwarzwald

Structural engineering for the new construction of a fire station in Triberg im Schwarzwald, Frejusstraße 1: The maximum 3-story building with approx. 2,000 m² GFA and a footprint of approx. 800 m² on an approx. 2,700 m² plot includes a vehicle bay for seven parking spaces and a training tower; no basement is planned. The construction area is in earthquake zone 1 and snow load zone 2a; the vehicle bay requires a span of approx. 13 m with a reduced number of columns. Estimated costs (as of 2026) are approx. 4.53 million EUR gross (cost groups 300+400 approx. 4.28 million EUR, cost group 500 approx. 250,000 EUR). Planning is to commence immediately after commissioning, with completion targeted for 2028/2029. A feasibility study by Hättich und Faber Architekten (2024) is available. The property is located in the extreme flood zone of the Nussbach (water level 609.4 m above sea level). Proof of sustainable building principles according to KlimaG BW is required.
