Preparatory Construction Work for the Extension of a Nuclear Facility in Valduc
Preparatory construction work for the extension of an existing nuclear facility at the CEA/DAM Valduc center: Site setup, dismantling and rerouting of existing networks (wastewater, industrial water, potable water, high current, low current), redesign of the earth berm (approx. 7,500 m³ excavation), dismantling of existing reinforced concrete structures (retaining structures, external gallery), creation of new reinforced concrete support structures for the roof berm (approx. 50 linear meters), cladding of the existing building's exterior wall (approx. 60m x 12m), creation of the platform for the future extension (approx. 1,500 m³ excavation, approx. 1m depth), site setup area for construction site accommodation (approx. 1,300 m²), disposal of excavated material (1.5 km one-way to on-site deposit area), installation of construction site power networks (1 main distribution cabinet for site accommodation, cranes, site distribution boxes), installation of utility connections for future site accommodation, dismantling and disposal of the existing HV/LV switchgear with associated structures and electrical connections, geotechnical monitoring (Type G3), installation of approx. 10 wooden pole streetlights with loudspeakers, preparation of all execution documents and tests, documentation of executed works. Optional services include: Diversion of an excavation truck for radiological control (6 km one-way), on-site disposal of excess excavated material, construction site shutdown (1 day), construction site shutdown (1 working week), enlargement of the storm water basin (maximum 130 m³), supply to site accommodation from a future HV/LV station (approx. 200 linear meters). Services are performed within the protected area of the CEA/DAM Valduc center with access restrictions.
