VR Software Development and Purchase of VR Headsets for Resilience Training
Conception, development, implementation, testing, and operational handover of a modular Virtual Reality (VR) learning module to promote resilience and practical skills in children and adolescents aged 7 to 14 years in crisis and dangerous situations, including the procurement of 15 VR headsets and accessories. The learning module conveys real-life civil protection scenarios in a safe virtual environment. Module 1 – Fire Safety Education covers recognizing dangerous situations, behavior in smoke development, correct evacuation of a building, use of escape routes, behavior at assembly points, making an emergency call, and cooperation with adults and emergency services, with a focus on correct behavior. Module 2 – Blackout covers recognizing a power outage, orientation without electrical aids, calm behavior, family communication, handling flashlights, the importance of emergency supplies, information gathering, energy-saving behavior, and cohesion and mutual support. The application is intended for use in schools, extracurricular educational institutions, and public information and prevention events, and must be expandable with further scenarios without fundamental changes to the software architecture.
