Trolley Washers for Instrument Sterilization Centers 2026 and 2027, Pohjois-Karjalan hyvinvointialue

Delivery of trolley washers for two instrument sterilization centers in Joensuu: one (1) trolley washer each for the central hospital and Siilainen sterilization units. The acquisition for Siilainen will take place in 2026, and for the central hospital, a device will be acquired in 2027 as an option. The client is not committed to acquiring a specific number of devices. In the central hospital's instrument sterilization unit, approximately 151,000 instruments and instrument sets are serviced annually; the unit provides services for 14 operating rooms, all central hospital wards, polyclinics, procedural units, and dental emergency services. Operating hours there are weekdays 7 AM to 9 PM and weekends 8 AM to 4 PM. The Siilainen unit services multi-purpose instruments for the entire North Karelia region, primarily for oral healthcare units, as well as instruments from primary healthcare, maternity and child health clinics, and laboratories. Operating hours there are weekdays 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Both units currently use one (1) trolley washer. Items to be washed in Siilainen are mainly boxes for transporting instruments, and in the central hospital, containers and transport boxes. Both devices also have an instrument washing program. The central hospital's trolley washer has an annual usage of approximately 2,200 cycles (9 cycles/day), and Siilainen's usage is approximately 1,620 cycles (7 cycles/day), with an average of 145 transport boxes washed per day at Siilainen. The new devices must provide at least the same or increased capacity and must fit into the existing premises, as no expansions or renovations are possible. One (1) contract supplier will be selected; devices for both units must be from the same brand, though dimensions may differ based on space requirements.
