Maintenance and Repair of Doors at UKE Hamburg-Eppendorf Campus

Maintenance, inspection, testing, repair, and troubleshooting of door systems in a clinical environment: Ensuring safe, trouble-free, and legally compliant operation of all door systems, considering hospital-specific requirements for hygiene, availability, personal safety, and fire protection. This includes regular maintenance and inspection according to manufacturer specifications and regulations, functional testing, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and calibration of all relevant components, testing of safety and protective devices (sensors, locks, closing sequence controllers, escape route functions, emergency opening and unlocking devices), repair of damaged or worn components including delivery and installation of suitable spare parts after consultation, and execution of legally required tests and documentation. Services cover automatic sliding and revolving door systems, fire and smoke protection doors, escape and rescue route doors, hold-open systems, power-operated doors, sluice and access systems, and other existing door systems. Work must be planned to minimize disruption to ongoing clinical operations, especially in patient care, intensive care, and operating room areas. Necessary work outside regular operating hours requires prior agreement. Qualified and trained personnel must be deployed. Installed spare parts must comply with manufacturer specifications or be technically equivalent and meet all safety requirements. A maintenance or test report must be submitted after each service, and safety-relevant defects must be reported immediately. All necessary ancillary services for proper, operational, and functional execution are included.
