Restoration Management for the Sites PP Za mlýnem, PP Hvězda and Mokřad za Hvězdou

Restoration management for 2 sites in the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area: The sites are PP Za mlýnem and PP Hvězda with the adjacent Mokřad za Hvězdou. The management period is from 2026 to 2029, i.e., just under 3.5 years. In areas where woody plants were felled in 2025-2026, a one-time removal of stumps and small stumps (including sprouts) of the previously felled woody plants will first be carried out to make the areas accessible for mowing. Depending on vegetation development, in individual years, sprouts of previously felled woody plants will be mowed first, then ruderal vegetation colonizing the cleared areas, and finally the regenerating herbaceous vegetation of alluvial meadows. A part of the felled areas is not intended for the restoration of meadow biotopes but for so-called 'stumping'; in these areas, a one-time cutting of grown sprouts will take place in the last year. All planned interventions include the removal of generated biomass. Snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) is abundant in the localities and is a legally protected species; all work must therefore be carried out in such a way as to avoid damage to the populations of this plant, i.e., without damaging the soil surface.
