Workshop Series and Exchange on Natura 2000 Conferences

Organization and moderation of three workshops and conferences on current Natura 2000 topics: Execution of events from 2026 to 2029, focusing on experience exchange and development regarding the fifth National Report under Article 17 FFH-Directive, updating management planning in Natura 2000 areas, presentation and discussion of new EU guidelines, improvement of conservation status and requirements of the EU Restoration Regulation, assessment of characteristic species in habitat types (especially insect decline), and Natura 2000's contribution to biodiversity in Germany and Europe. The topics for the three individual conferences will be determined annually. The project includes the publication of results in a BfN series, including an international workshop with an English-language publication. The financing plan covers printing costs, accessibility costs, and travel expenses for selected participants.
