Data server systems: Modernization and enlargement of hardware, consisting of database servers, data access servers, storage systems, and network, for 24/7 high-availability operation. Expected availability of 99% per data server system and 99.8% for the overall system, each measured over 30 days. Redundant installation at two (optionally three) locations: one system for routine operations at the Offenbach am Main data center (DMRZ-OF), an independent system for backup, integration, and tests at a second site (DMRZ-EX) at least 50 km from DMRZ-OF (site notification by March 2027), and a smaller independent data server system also at DMRZ-EX, optionally at the Bundeswehr site in Euskirchen (DMRZ-EU) (decision by award). Services include Phase 1: delivery, installation, operation, and maintenance; Phase 2 (optional): continued system service, potentially increased performance with an additional data server system; after contract end (optional): dismantling, disposal, and decommissioning of systems.
