Moving and Transport Services for GIZ Eschborn

Moving and transport services for the GIZ Eschborn site: internal moves and transports, room preparation, and temporary storage of inventory including logistics, documentation, and assembly activities. Services include internal transports, rearrangement and assembly of office furniture, preparation of meeting rooms, minor assemblies, moves of individual office units (furniture, boxes, file trolleys), transport of IT workstation equipment without de-/re-installation, furniture transport between storage and offices (incl. inspection, repair, disposal), special transports (e.g., safes, pianos), ASR-compliant furnishing, furniture alignment, inventory documentation (barcode/QR), provision and collection of file trolleys and moving boxes, clearing of rooms and outdoor areas, repairs, assembly and disassembly (e.g., shelving systems, whiteboards, picture rails). For larger moves (from 10 office units), additional personnel and project management can be called off, usually with a lead time of approx. 2 weeks, billed hourly. Room preparation covers approx. 80 meeting rooms and auditoriums with various seating arrangements, including checklist-based preparation and follow-up, weekly intensive checks, setup of desired seating, provision and return of moderation materials, simple cleaning and tidying (no cleaning service), and documentation of irregularities. Temporary storage involves packaging, safekeeping at the GIZ site, inventory lists (GIZ template), barcode and photo documentation, condition checks, and reassembly at the destination. Storage costs are billed per m³/month (incl. area, insurance minimum 500,000 EUR, climate control), transport and travel costs separately. The service location comprises six buildings (partially connected) with approx. 81,000 m² usable area and approx. 2,800 workplaces at Dag-Hammarskjöld-Weg 1-5, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 7 and 30-34, 65760 Eschborn. A core team of four qualified staff including a team leader must be maintained Mon-Fri from 07:00-15:30 for the entire contract duration, with deployments outside these hours on call. At least one person must have the qualification "Fachkraft für Möbel-, Küchen- und Umzugsservice" or equivalent, and the team leader must have German B1 proficiency. Billing is hourly based on actual effort, smallest unit 0.25 h; breaks and travel times are not compensated. Material and transport means are compensated only upon email call-off according to the price list. Cancellations for additional personnel, material, or transport units are free up to 1 week before the appointment. Expert Pools for AfCFTA Negotiations and Implementation Support

Provision of short-term expert (STE) pools to support negotiations and implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA): Advisory services and capacity building for governmental, private sector, and civil society stakeholders at continental, regional, and national levels. Services include human capacity development and organizational and technical advice in thematic areas such as removing barriers to Trade in Goods, Trade in Services, and Digital Trade; support for further AfCFTA negotiations (e.g., Rules of Origin, Trade in Services); support for the ratification of Phase II Protocols (Competition Policy, Intellectual Property Rights, Investment, Digital Trade, Women & Youth in Trade); implementation of AfCFTA regulations at national and regional levels; monitoring and reviewing AfCFTA Protocol implementation in AU Member States; improving access to trade information; supporting the African private sector to trade under AfCFTA rules; and supporting authorities in establishing inclusive policies for women & youth traders. The contractor identifies and manages STE pools, supports GIZ in defining required expertise, proposes suitable experts, selects experts jointly with GIZ, and manages their deployment. Interventions focus on 8 countries (Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Tunisia, and Zambia) and at REC level on EAC, ECOWAS, and SADC. Expected services include technical, operational, and strategic policy advisory services; support in developing, drafting, and reviewing reports, studies, analyses, position papers, guidelines, action plans, implementation plans, and legislation; research and analysis (including diagnostic missions); facilitation of private sector participation in policy-making processes and dialogue; facilitation of national, regional, and continental workshops and conferences (including interpretation and translation services); and project support services (M&E systems, communication materials, moderation, translation, interpretation). Services are structured around five work packages: strengthening the AfCFTA Secretariat's capacity to guide and monitor implementation; strengthening AUC ETTIM's capacity to support and monitor the enabling environment for goods and services production; supporting coordination of the AfCFTA implementation approach among selected RECs; supporting domestication and ratification of AfCFTA Protocols in selected AU Member States; and enabling private sector actors to trade under AfCFTA rules. Additionally, communication, moderation, M&E support, translation, and interpretation services are required for the project and partner institutions at continental, regional, and national levels. Deliverables will primarily be in English or French, optionally in Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, or Swahili.

Supporting the Green Transition of Financial Institutions

Consulting services for supporting the green transition of financial institutions: The assignment is structured around four interrelated work packages, 5 key experts, complemented by two pools of experts. Work Package 1 (Planning and Inception) involves reviewing, researching, and analyzing all relevant information to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the assignment and to refine the implementation approach. Work Package 3 (Capacity Development and Technical Assistance for Financial Services Providers) strengthens the institutional capacities of 5 financial services providers across the same seven operational areas and builds the capacities of at least 120 employees (50 of whom are women) in the financial service sector; this work package may target public and private financial services providers, while Activity 3.7 targets financial sector associations, training providers, and academic institutions. The Contractor is expected to ensure strong coordination and alignment with a parallel complementary intervention delivering sector-level standardized training, including regular information exchange, harmonization of approaches, and avoidance of duplication. Work Package 4 (Advancing Financial Service Providers' Capacity to Access and Mobilize International Climate Finance) supports financial services providers in submitting at least 3 project outlines (1 of which related to the water sector) for mobilizing international climate finance in relation to MSMEs to relevant national actors, in close coordination with the CBJ, Ministry of Environment, and industry associations. All support under this assignment shall be aligned with international best practices and relevant national frameworks, including the Jordan National Green Taxonomy, ensuring consistency with evolving regulatory and policy developments in the green finance landscape.
