Carpentry and Timber Construction for U-shaped Building
Carpentry and timber construction for a U-shaped building with an inner courtyard, featuring exterior wall lengths of 2 x 65.70 m, 40.52 m, 25.38 m, and 8.80 m, inner courtyard wall lengths of 2 x 56.60 m, 23.02 m, 16.78 m, 2 x 8.80 m, and building heights of 3.65 m and 5.15 m. Stud walls are made of Spruce/Fir softwood C24 with claddings of solid wood panels SWP/2 S DIN EN 13353 three-layer panels and OSB utility class 0, OSB/3. This includes load-bearing timber frame constructions REI30 (AW 508 m²), load-bearing REI30 with installation level (AW 35 m²), load-bearing EI30 with installation level (IW 66 m²), load-bearing EI30 (IW 51 m²), non-load-bearing (AW 64 m²), non-load-bearing (IW 48 m²), of which 35 m² are insulated timber frame constructions, 35 m of reveal cladding, and a proportional vapor barrier under stud walls (IW 49 m²). Timber roofs and ceilings consist of cross-laminated timber DIN EN 16351 (REI 30, Spruce/Fir softwood C24, pre-greyed) for main roofs, sawn timber (Spruce/Fir softwood C24) for canopy purlins and beams, and workshop ceiling beams, with formwork made of OSB/3 and softwood 3-layer panels. This comprises 1,435 m² of cross-laminated timber ceilings, 0.7 m³ of canopy (purlins, beams, steel rafters), 36 m² of canopy roof formwork OSB/3, 36 m² of visible canopy ceiling formwork made of pre-greyed tongue and groove softwood boards, and 39 m² of insulated workshop ceiling with softwood beams and formwork on both sides. Steel construction works involve the supply and installation of S235J2 hot-dip galvanized steel with factory corrosion protection: 2,097 kg of profile steel beams HEB240, 996 kg of HEB200, 385 kg of HEB160, 607 kg of welded T-steel, 132 kg of round columns DN 139.7, and 88.5 kg of steel parts (head/base plates, bracing). Ventilated timber facades are made of rough-sawn, pre-greyed silver fir with a substructure of battens/counter-battens Spruce/Fir softwood C24: 956 m² of timber battens 30/50 and 40/60 vertically laid with an irregular arrangement of alternating profiles (horizontal/vertical), 265 m² of timber battens 20/65, 20/90 and 20/140 vertically laid with an alternating arrangement, 561 m of small animal protection, and 27 m of overhang strips made of galvanized, powder-coated steel. Overarching services include site setup, workshop and assembly planning, and static calculations based on verification.
