Subject-specific Tutoring (German and Mathematics) for Startchancen Schools in Brandenburg

Subject-specific Tutoring (German and Mathematics): Structured and continuous support measure for learning promotion at Startchancen schools in Brandenburg, based on the curriculum and individual learning needs. Tutoring is provided as small group sessions with a maximum of four learners per group. Up to six groups can be formed per primary and special needs school, up to four groups per secondary general education school, and up to two groups per vocational school. Learning groups can be subject-specific (German-only, Math-only) or interdisciplinary (German-Math) depending on needs and student composition. Tutoring sessions typically occur twice weekly per learning group, each lasting 45 minutes, on different weekdays. Usually, at least two tutoring sessions for different learning groups take place consecutively on one day, provided at least two learning groups have been formed at the respective school. Learning support is implemented in person on the premises of the respective school; no tutoring takes place during the school holidays of Brandenburg. Student learning development is continuously documented, including attendance records, short learning status reports, and records of progress and existing support needs.
