Tutoring for Learning Support (German and Mathematics) at Startchancen Schools in Brandenburg

Tutoring for Learning Support (German and Mathematics): structured and continuous support based on Brandenburg's framework curricula and individual student needs. Tutoring is provided in small groups with a maximum of four learners per group. Up to six groups can be formed per primary and special school, up to four groups per secondary general school, and up to two groups per vocational school. Learning groups can be subject-specific (German only, Mathematics only) or interdisciplinary (German-Mathematics). Tutoring sessions typically occur twice weekly per learning group, each lasting 45 minutes, on different weekdays, with usually at least two consecutive sessions for different learning groups on one day. Learning support is implemented in person on school premises and does not take place during Brandenburg's school holidays. Students' learning development must be continuously documented, including attendance records, progress reports, and records of learning progress and needs.
