Participation in the creation of ISO standards for nuclear power plants

Participation in committee work within the German Institute for Standardization (DIN NA 062-07-43 AA), the European Committee for Standardization (CEN TC 430), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO TC 85 SC 6 with WG 3) for the development and further development of structural engineering standards. This includes incorporating German nuclear regulations (safety requirements for nuclear power plants, KTA rules) and DIN standards into international standardization work, as well as reviewing international standards for compatibility with national regulations before adoption. The focus is on design against external impacts (seismics, floods) for nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities (research reactors, interim storage, final repositories). A specific task is the introduction of KTA 2201.2 as ISO 4917 Design of nuclear power plants against seismic events Part 2 Subground into TC 85 SC 6 WG 3 and its support until publication as an ISO standard.
