Mobility Study for Germany 2028

Nationwide representative survey of at least 35,000 private households and 70,000 persons in calendar year 2028: Collection of mobility behavior, mode of transport use, travel routes, and purposes. The survey is based on proven methods, integrates innovative approaches such as smartphone tracking, and improves the inclusion of underrepresented groups. Regional in-depth samples enable up to 175,000 households. The study provides current mobility indicators for federal and state governments as well as socio-economic and spatial mobility patterns to support the review of demand plans for transport modes, the further development of the climate protection program, and the planning of sustainable infrastructure.
