Planning of Road Renovations for Révfalu and Kossuth in Győr

Planning of the comprehensive renovation of Kossuth Lajos Street in Győr, section between Városház köz and Lencse köz: The planning includes a section length of exactly 490 meters on public property with cadastral number 7715. The regulatory width varies between 12.5 and 23.9 meters. The road is classified as B. IV. b. C. category according to e-UT 03.01.11, with a design speed of 50 km/h. Pavement diagnostics based on 4 boreholes and laboratory results form the basis of the planning. The existing asphalt pavement is aged, deformed, and shows network cracks. Cross-section and lane width corrections foresee a new, uniform road width of 7.0 meters, consisting of 2 x 3.25 meter wide traffic lanes and 2 x 0.25 meter wide two-sided safety lanes, compared to the existing variable width of 8.0 to 10.0 meters. Detailed planning of pedestrian crossings includes the review and redesign of existing crossings at Városház köz and Lencse-köz, and Lencse köz and Liget utca, full physical and infocommunication accessibility (0–2 cm curb height), and tactile paving. Additionally, independent, standard, high-intensity public lighting for pedestrian crossings is to be planned. Parking and curb design includes a new, 2.50 meter wide parking lane on the north side. Pedestrian and green infrastructure on the north side involves partial narrowing of the existing 2.0–4.0 meter wide asphalt sidewalk up to the facade, and the planning of new green strips (grassing, tree planting) between the sidewalk and the new parking lane. On the south side, a complete reconstruction of the 2.0 meter wide, aged sidewalk west of Transzportház köz is planned, along with the design of level connections for existing asphalt driveways with sloped curbs from the roadway. Public transport (bus infrastructure) planning includes the renovation of the existing bus bay, the removal of the existing bus stop on the north side, and the design of a new, independent, dimensioned bus bay. Specialized utility and lighting tasks include leveling, manhole cover adjustment, and, if necessary, protection/replacement plans for gas, water, and combined gravity sewer networks under the roadway. Under the sidewalks, mechanical protection of telecommunication and electrical underground cables and substructures in the relocated curb area is to be planned. For the overhead network, a compliance review of overhead public lighting, electrical, and telecommunication lines on the south side pole row is foreseen, potentially with plans for pole replacement and modernization. Stormwater drainage of the road surface is to be solved by connecting to the existing combined gravity sewer network with new catch basins.
