Circulating Water Pumps (Concrete Volute) for Nuclear Power Plants

Delivery of Circulating Water Pumps (Concrete Volute): Design, material furnishing, fabrication, testing, and delivery of 9 vertical concrete volute pumps for three nuclear power plants within the Poland AP100 Project. The pumps convey brackish Baltic Sea water to remove heat from main condensers in a once-through cooling system. A total of 9 concrete volute pumps are planned for the project site (3 x 33% per unit) with a rated flow of 21.3 m³/s (76,668 m³/hr), a pump head of 22.5 m, and a design life of 60 years. Physical model testing and shop performance testing are required for the pumps. The stated estimates are approximate.

Circulating Water System Intake Equipment Package

Circulating water system intake equipment: Design, material furnishing, fabrication, testing, and delivery of approx. 24 automatic dual flow type traveling water screens, approx. 33 trash racks, approx. 6 motorized trash rack raking systems with monorail and support structures (2 systems per unit, each covering 6 or 5 trash racks), approx. 2 intake tunnel stop gates (1 per tunnel), and approx. 9 circulating water pump suction stop gates. The traveling screens are to be designed for continuous, submerged service in brackish Baltic seawater for a cooling water intake structure with a depth of 23m. Material selection considers stagnation, biofouling, mussel formation, and frazil ice formation. The quantities provided are approximate only.

Special Structural Steel Module Fabrication for Nuclear Power Plants

Detailing, fabrication, and delivery of over 100 structural steel module assemblies (based on U.S. Materials, Codes, and Standards) for each of the three planned nuclear power plants (NPPs) of the Poland AP1000 Project: Total weight of structural steel modules approximately 2,000 metric tons (MT) per unit, or 6,000 MT total for all three units. Module designs include structural steel shapes, plates, studs, and miscellaneous items such as grating, handrail, stairs, reinforcing steel couplers, pipe sleeves; mainly carbon steel, partly duplex stainless steel. Fabrication is divided into five module categories, typically delivered as subassemblies for site assembly: CAxx (18 modules): Floor modules (up to 13m x 13m x 1.4m, 50 MT) supporting concrete slab placement; CBxx (37 modules): Liner modules replacing formwork (one 300 MT module 45m diameter x 10m high; most modules up to 6m x 4m x 4m, 12 MT), consisting mainly of plates, studs, and stiffeners; CHxx (14 modules): Heavy stair/platform tower framing (up to 20m x 10m x 8m, 90 MT); CSxx (4 modules): Light stair modules with framing, handrails, and grating (up to 8m x 6m x 4m, 16 MT); SPLxx (36 modules): Platform modules (light to heavy framing) including large mezzanine and operating decks, up to 120–160 MT.
