Official record of the opening of submitted bids, listing bidders and bid prices.

What is a Bid Opening Protocol?

The bid opening protocol (German: Submissionsprotokoll) is the official document created when submitted bids are opened. It records which bids were received and their essential contents.

Public Opening for Construction

For public tenders under VOB/A, bidders may attend the opening. Bidder names and amounts are read aloud.

For electronic procurement, bids are encrypted until opening, decryption requires at least two persons, and the platform provides automatic documentation.
