Ventilation and Refrigeration Systems and Steel Construction
Ventilation and refrigeration systems, as well as steel construction: Ventilation systems include 3 central air handling units for laboratories/ancillary rooms (25,000–30,000 m³/h), 1 air handling unit for kitchen ventilation/exhaust (approx. 8,500 m³/h), 2 air handling units for supply air smoke extraction (4,500 m³/h each), 3 exhaust fans (PPs, 1,500 m³/h each), 1 underground garage exhaust/smoke extraction system (approx. 90,000 m³/h smoke extraction / 27,000 m³/h ventilation), and 4 stainless steel exhaust air towers for smoke extraction (22,500 m³/h each). Ducts include approx. 3,200 m² galvanized air ducts with insulation (rectangular including fittings), approx. 2,500 m galvanized round pipes, approx. 550 m plastic exhaust air pipes (PPS), and approx. 220 m² L90 cladding for kitchen exhaust. Installations comprise approx. 290 fire dampers (BSK), approx. 200 volume flow controllers and laboratory control systems (VSR), approx. 200 silencers, and approx. 350 air diffusers/valves. Refrigeration systems consist of 2 air-cooled chillers (300 kW each), approx. 23 recirculating air coolers (2.5–6 kW) and 2 climate control cabinets (12 and 20 kW), a chilled water buffer tank, chilled water distributors, 2 pumps (45 m³/h), approx. 2,000 m steel pipe DN15–150 including insulation, and 5 trace heating units. The steel construction involves assembly including execution and workshop planning, as well as static dimensioning of the supporting structure for all media routes and equipment on the roof, with approx. 15,000 kg galvanized steel construction and approx. 400 route and equipment feet.
