Monument-appropriate renovation, modernization, and conversion of the Kornhaus in Kirchheim unter Teck: The overall construction project will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the Kornhaus will be renovated, repaired, and modernized from the ground floor to the attic, including the extension of the first escape route, the east staircase, and an elevator down to the basement. In the second phase, after the removal of the combined heat and power unit, the vaulted cellar will be cleared of all subsequent installations, and the natural stone vault will be renovated. The building will be upgraded in terms of building physics and fire protection. Archaeological excavations are required for a new external staircase (basement to ground floor). Site access is via Martinskirchplatz, with constrained storage areas. The building is located in seismic zone 0 (DIN 4149: 2005-04 / 1981-04). Ventilation technology includes a central air handling unit in the attic with approx. 8,000–10,000 m³/h air volume, 3 ventilation shafts across all floors, approx. 400 m of air ducts (spiral-seam + rectangular ducts), approx. 40 long-throw nozzles (ground floor – 2nd floor), and approx. 20 swirl diffusers (attic).
